Warranty Terms and conditions
1. Warranty Coverage (Labor / Workmanship)
Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics provides a 12‑month or 12,000‑mile workmanship warranty (whichever occurs first) on qualifying repairs performed by the technician. This warranty covers:
• Installation errors
• Improper assembly
• Incorrect torqueing
• Improper routing of hoses, wiring, or components
• Any labor‑related defect directly caused by the technician’s work
If a workmanship issue is confirmed, Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics will correct the issue at no additional labor charge.
This warranty is provided in accordance with the Texas Compliance Addendum and applicable Texas consumer protection laws.
2. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Diagnostic fees (diagnostics are not a warranty item)
• Failures caused by unrelated components
• Failures caused by pre‑existing conditions
• Failures caused by customer‑supplied parts
• Failures caused by aftermarket modifications
• Failures caused by overheating, contamination, or neglect
• Failures caused by improper operation or abuse
• Failures caused by parts defects (covered by manufacturer, not labor warranty)
• Fluid leaks caused by corroded, damaged, or worn mating surfaces
• Electrical issues caused by prior wiring damage, corrosion, or shorts
• Any condition not directly caused by the technician’s workmanship
This warranty applies only to the specific labor performed by Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics.
3. Parts Warranty (Manufacturer Only)
Any parts installed by Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics are covered solely by the manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage varies by brand and part type.
Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics:
• Does not warranty parts directly
• Does not guarantee manufacturer approval
• Will assist with warranty claims when possible
• May charge labor for removal/reinstallation of failed parts unless the manufacturer reimburses labor
Customer‑supplied parts have no warranty of any kind.
4. Warranty Claim Requirements
To qualify for warranty consideration, the customer must:
• Notify Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics within the warranty period
• Allow the technician to inspect the vehicle in person
• Not perform additional repairs before inspection
• Not disassemble or alter the area of concern
• Provide access to the vehicle in a safe, legal location
If the customer refuses inspection or performs their own repairs first, the warranty is void.
5. Warranty Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
• Towing
• Roadside assistance
• Loss of use
• Rental vehicles
• Incidental or consequential damages
• Additional diagnostics required to verify a warranty claim
Warranty coverage is limited to correction of workmanship only.
6. Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty is void if:
• The customer tampers with the repair
• Another shop performs work on the same system before inspection
• The vehicle is operated with known faults
• The failure is caused by contamination, overheating, or lack of maintenance
• The customer refuses recommended repairs that directly affect the system
7. Warranty Period
The workmanship warranty is valid for:
12 months or 12,000 miles
whichever occurs first, unless otherwise stated in writing.
This warranty applies only to the specific labor performed and does not extend to the entire vehicle or system.
8. Warranty Service Location
Warranty inspections and repairs must be performed by Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics at a location approved by the technician. If the vehicle is not safely accessible, the customer is responsible for transporting it to a suitable location.
